I want to start this post off with a brief recap. During May of this year, I set out on eight of the most incredible days I have ever experienced. Eight days exploring Iceland. Eight days of nonstop driving and camping. Eight days along the ring road. As soon as I took my first film shot, I knew these were going to be some of the favorite shots I'd ever take. When I finished my first roll with a photo of Skogafoss, I became even more excited. Those eight days and five rolls of film ready for developing left me thinking about how I could get these images into something more. When I scanned my first roll back, I decided I was making a book.
Thats when I got in contact with Blurb. Blurb has been creating mediums to share memories for thirteen years out of San Francisco. They do everything from trade books to magazines to photo books like the one I created. Each option includes a wide variety of options in paper, cover designs, and more, making your product incredibly personalized. I decided to go with their premium magazine, which offered a thicker binding; a perfect medium in-between a book and a magazine. The popping color and high quality achieved the coffee table staple I was going for.
I also have to give a big thank you to the Blurb crew for being incredibly helpful, responsive, and efficient as I created and recreated my book several times. They answered every question I had, gave great advice for the book, and were always pleasant. It was a pleasure working with them!
All in all, I'm happy to say this book is completed after a lot of time, memories, and hard work. It is a collection of beloved memories to me, and I hope you all will enjoy it as much as I do.
